The New York premiere of Wong Kar Wai's new film, My Blueberry Nights, took place last night.
Fellow director Ang Li turned up to support the screening and the aftershow party.
Fashion designers Vivienne Tam and Anna Sui were among the famous Chinese faces at the screening.
Zhang Ziyi and Wendi Deng Murdoch – the wife of media mogul Rupert Murdoch – took to the red carpet arm-in-arm.
In March, Wendi told Vogue that she, Ziyi and Florence Sloan – the wife of MGM boss Henry Sloan – are planning to start a film company together.
It is rumoured that the three women's first project will be a film based on The Empress, a novel by French-Chinese author Shan Sa.
Ziyi's agent said that negotiations are ongoing.
